Open Source Licences
The open-source code inside Planye whose licence asks to be named: what each piece does, the licence it is under, and where its source code is.
Opening HEIC photos
Many phones save photos as HEIC, a format most browsers cannot open, and the Android app cannot either. So Planye carries its own way of opening one: libheif, with the libde265 decoder inside it, built for the browser by the libheif-js project.
It runs on your own device, and only when a HEIC photo needs it. The photo is not sent anywhere to be opened. It is turned into the same kind of image as every other photo you add, and that image is what Planye keeps.
All three are used as published, without changes of ours, and are kept in a file of their own, apart from the rest of Planye.

The licence
The GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3, is written as a set of permissions added to the GNU General Public License, version 3, so the two are read together. Planye carries the full text of both, exactly as libheif publishes them, at https://planye.com/libheif-licence.txt.
The Free Software Foundation publishes them too, at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl-3.0.html and https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html.
